Penis Protection
Condoms are far
from being a new invention for penis protection against sexually
transmitted diseases, as evidence has proven that condoms have
been around for 3,000 years or more. The first condoms intended
to protect the penis from sexually transmitted diseases, as well
as prevent pregnancy, were often made of materials such as animal
intestines and linen. Condoms were not made from rubber until
after 1844, when condoms made of rubber were patented, beginning
the mass production of rubber condoms made to protect the
penis against sexual transmitted diseases, as well as prevent
unwanted pregnancy from occurring. The following paragraphs will briefly
discuss modern condoms, how they work, and how to use one to
protect your penis and prevent unwanted pregnancy.
A modern day condom, designed for penis protection
and pregnancy prevention, is commonly a thin sheath designed to be
placed over top of an erect penis in order to offer protection
during sexual encounters. Modern day condoms are most commonly
made from:
- latex
- lamb skin
- polyurethane
Modern day condoms are
available in a wide variety of lengths, widths, and thicknesses to
ensure you can get a perfect fit.
With condoms, a perfect fit is extremely important for various reasons.
A condom that is too tight on your penis is more likely to break,
thus decreasing your protection. But on the other hand, a condom
that is too loose may slip off your penis during sexual
intercourse, causing you to have no protection at all from sexually
transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies.
The ways condoms work are quite simple. To protect from unwanted
pregnancy, a condom will hold all semen inside, preventing it from ever
entering the woman's vagina. This prevents unwanted conception. In the
same sense, condoms protect your penis from sexually
transmitted diseases in the same fashion. By blocking the exchange of
bodily fluids that could be infected, a condom provides the
absolute best protection against contracting a sexually transmitted
disease.
Condoms are not only an important way to protect your penis,
but they are very easy to use. To properly put a condom on your penis,
you must place it over the top, and gently unroll the condom down the
shaft of your penis. You must always remember to leave room at
the top of the condom, for it to have room to collect the sperm
in the tip. Lubricated condoms help prevent tears in the condom, during
application, or during actual intercourse. If you intend to use our own
lubricant, you should remember to only use lubricants that are water
based. Mineral based lubricants can weaken the strength of the condom,
and cause it to break.
Condoms have come a long way over the centuries, but they have
always been designed to achieve the same ultimate goals - to protect.
Not only do condoms protect your penis from sexually transmitted
diseases, but they also aid in the prevention of unwanted pregnancy.
Before having sexual intercourse, it is always wise to wear a condom.
